Visit the Cape Lookout National Seashore
Take a boat trip three miles off-shore to the islands of Cape Lookout National Seashore. Here you can enjoy remote beaches, wild horses and other wildlife. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch for the day. Going camping takes a little more planning. The lighthouse is open April through November from 9 AM - 5 PM, and you must call ahead to make reservations: (252) 728-0708.
